Amazing experience!! This was our favorite thing to do in Austin. I’m disappointed that this was the last thing we did because we were shown a lot of cool spots that we now know to go check out! Definitely something to do at the beginning of the trip. The little quack noise makers made the tour so much fun! I loved that we did a thorough tour of the city before we went into the water. Going into the lake was very enjoyable - even though I was a little nervous at first! The tour continued on in the water with information about the houses on the lake, which celebs had houses here, what movies were filmed on the lake, information about surrounding geography, etc. We even had a trivia challenge and the winner got to drive the boat in the water! The tour was 90 minutes and the whole time we were thoroughly entertained!!
We went on a duck tour for the first time and I'm so glad we did! Our tour was led by Captain Miguel who was entertaining and taught us lots of fun facts about Austin (we have lived here 6 years and he still told us a lot we didn't know). Our 7 year old son was engaged the whole time between the music, the tour and the quakers they provide for interaction with people we passed on the street. Would highly recommend this tour with or without your kids.
The tour was very informative and educational. We learned about the neighborhoods and the sea tour was okay 3/5. Driver bob did a great job and he was very funny. The places that the driver recommended I definitely checked them out.
Love this all in one deal! A bus that coverts into a boat to take a tour of Austin. Our guide was amazing and very interactive with his tourists with all the jokes and narratives of the histrionic stories of Austin, TX. I high recommend this type of tour.
Amazing 90 min of trip with Austin view and then some boating time! I wish the roof was openable as the weather was good, to get a full view! Good option even if you have a birthday or any celebration as they will do it with everyone Another option is open double decker Austin bus
This tour has been among the most enjoyable I've experienced. Exploring the city in a lively manner was fantastic. The tour guide was not only humorous but also remarkably informative and well-versed in the city's history. And, if you happen to be on the boat, try claiming it's your birthday for a chance to take the wheel – a fun tip!
The was a nice little tour that doesn’t require walking. It’s about 75 minutes and it covers quite a bit. It’s not very detailed, but is good for pointing out key spots to see in Austin. I’d maybe do this at the beginning of your trip so you can add or adjust places you would like to see from there
Awesome experience. The tour guide was excellent! His humor, knowledge of Austin and Texas history, and friendly personality made the tour a true blessing. I highly recommend Austin Duck Adventures to anyone looking for a fun time in Austin.
It’s pretty good for family and kids, not suitable for young couples and energetic buddies as the trip gives you lots of Austin history (which is quite boring if you are not into arts or history). Kudos to the Captain and the Tour guide. The fun moments are when the bus becomes a boat and back to the bus when landing. We can see million dollar lake houses. Other than that, just enjoy the breeze.
